We do our best to ensure that the stock information shown on our website is accurate and up to date. However, as our online stock is shared with our stores, there may occasionally be a stock discrepancy.

If we're unable to fulfil your order, we'll contact you as soon as possible.

If an item you're looking for is out of stock, please contact us. We'll be happy to let you know whether we're expecting more stock or see if we can help you find an alternative.

We stock a wide range of brands across O&C Butcher and our sister shop, Fleur. Most of our collections are available online, but there may occasionally be products or brands that aren't shown on the website.

Of course, but we recommend contacting us before making a special journey.

As we stock a wide range of collections across O&C Butcher, Fleur and our warehouse, an item shown online may not always be held at our Aldeburgh store. Give us a call or email and we'll check where it is and, where possible, arrange to have it available for you.

Ordering online is straightforward. Browse our collections using the navigation at the top of the website, or use the search function if you're looking for something in particular.

When you've found something you'd like to order:

1. Select the required size or variant and add the item to your basket.
2. When you're ready, proceed to checkout.
3. Enter or confirm your contact and delivery details.
4. Choose your delivery method.
5. Complete your payment securely through Shopify.
6. Once your order has been placed, you'll receive an order confirmation by email.

For delivery orders, tracking information will be sent once your parcel has been dispatched.

You may be asked to sign in or create an account as part of your shopping experience. If you already use Shop with other retailers, you may find that your account is already set up, making it quick and easy to sign in.

Yes. All prices shown on our website include VAT where applicable.

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely through Shopify and its supported payment providers. O&C Butcher does not store your payment card details.

Once your delivery order has been dispatched, you'll receive confirmation and tracking information so you can follow its progress.

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer international shipping.

Yes. We have a 28-day return policy, which means you have 28 days after receiving your item to request a return.

You can request a return through your online customer account. Once your request has been reviewed, we'll send you return instructions. We aim to review return requests within 1–2 working days.

If you would like to exchange an item, please submit a return request through your online customer account and let us know which replacement item or size you would prefer.

Exchanges are subject to availability and we cannot guarantee that your preferred replacement will still be in stock when we review your request. If an exchange isn't available, we'll arrange a refund to your original payment method.

We offer two types of gift voucher: O&C Online Gift Cards, which are purchased through our website and designed to be spent online, and traditional O&C gift vouchers, which are available for use in our Aldeburgh store.

You can buy an O&C Online Gift Card through our website in a choice of values from £10 to £500.

You can have the gift card sent to your own email address, or send it directly to the recipient. If you're sending it directly, you can add their name, a personal message and choose a delivery date up to 90 days in advance.

If you choose to send the gift card directly to the recipient, they'll receive it by email at the address you provide.

Alternatively, choose My email when ordering and the gift card will be sent to you, ready for you to give to the recipient yourself.

Please take care when entering a recipient's email address as we can't be responsible for gift cards sent to an incorrectly entered address.

O&C Online Gift Cards are valid for 12 months. The expiry date is shown on the gift card.

No. If the full value isn't used in one transaction, the remaining balance stays on the gift card and can be used towards another online purchase before the card expires.

Our Online Gift Cards are designed for use on our website, as our website and in-store till systems operate separately.

However, if you've received an Online Gift Card and would prefer to shop with us in Aldeburgh, please bring the gift card email with you and speak to a member of our team. We'll do our best to help.

Yes. Traditional O&C gift vouchers for use in our Aldeburgh store can be purchased in store.

If you can't visit us, please call us on 01728 452 229 and we'll be happy to arrange a traditional voucher for you over the phone.

Traditional shop vouchers are separate from our Online Gift Cards and are for in-store use only.

Because our online and in-store systems are separate, our team will deal with this for you in the shop. Any remaining value can be transferred to credit on your in-store account, for use on a future visit.

The original Online Gift Card will then be cancelled so that the same value cannot also be spent online.

Yes. We have two shops in Aldeburgh, Suffolk — O&C Butcher and our sister shop, Fleur. Brands from both shops are available through the O&C Butcher website.

No — we're not that kind of butcher!

It might not be the most obvious name for a clothing shop, but it's one we've had since 1884, thanks to our founders, Owen and Clifford Butcher.

If it is meat you're after, there is a very good butcher in Aldeburgh called Salter & King, just down the High Street from us.

That's a difficult one! Aldeburgh has plenty of wonderful places to eat — from fish and chips on the beach to restaurants, cafés and afternoon tea.

We couldn't possibly choose just one, so you'll have to come and sample them for yourself!
