Waterproofs aren't restricted to casual, countryside experiences - we do need to stay dry for smarter occasions too! Here are a couple of great examples of waterproof coats that can be dressed up for smarter needs. The photos were taken at the Pumphouse in Aldeburgh, owned by Britten Pears Arts.
The Gant Oversized Trench Coat
This cotton trench coat from Gant is waterproof and is a great wardrobe item for all seasons making it a really good investment piece. The fact that it's oversized allows you to add some warmer layers underneath when you need them. The Barbour Lorden Waterproof Jacket
To complement the Gant trench, we've chosen the men's Barbour Lorden Waterproof Jacket which looks as good in the town as it does in the country. It's made from a cotton mix with a fully waterproof membrane and like the trench will see you through the seasons. We've added a Barbour Wax Flat Cap to keep you extra dry and it's available in three different colours.
