Barbour Icons in Quilting

• Sarah Stacey

This year is the 30th Anniversary of the icon Barbour Liddesdale Quilted Jacket, introduced by Dame Margaret Barbour in 1994 and named after the Liddesdale Valley in the Scottish Borders. It was designed to combine warmth and style, ideal for cool, transitional weather. Unlike Barbour's traditional waxed jackets, the Liddesdale opted for a lightweight, quilted polyester exterior that made it perfect for layering without compromising on elegance. It's also extremely versatile and you're as likely to see it in the city as you are in the country.

Barbour is celebrating with the Icons in Quilting Campaign and we've featured it in our current window.
