Aldeburgh will be a hive of activity this weekend as it hosts two fantastic sporting events so if you're in the area come down and soak up the sporty atmosphere and cheer the competitors on!
Tour of Britain (Newmarket to Aldeburgh) - Friday 8 September
This Friday Aldeburgh will host the end of Stage 6 of the Tour of Britain. Cyclists will have riden from Newmarket and are expected to finish on Aldeburgh high Street at approx 3pm. More information about the event can be found here.
And a big thank you to Pedal Power Cycles in Ipswich for the loan of the fantastic Canondale road bike which is on display in our shop window. Check out their full range of bikes and accessories at: www.pedalpowercycles.com
Aldeburgh Relay Triathlon - Sunday 10 September
Back for it's third year the Aldeburgh Triathlon proves to be bigger and better than ever before with 125 teams signed up for this year's event.
Starting at Noon with the swimmers entering the water near the Brudenell and swimming down towards the White Lion before handing over to the Cyclists and then finishing with a 5k Run to Thorpness and back to Aldeburgh.
If you're not taking part it's a great event to go and watch and to cheer the teams on. There will be entertainment down on the seafront near the Moot Hall. Good luck to all participants! More info here
We'll be sharing photos of both of these events over on our Facebook page.
