If it gets covered in mud or sand, try shaking it off or cleaning it with a damp sponge. Unless you get it very dirty and would prefer it clean, your dryrobe will function just the same if simply dried at room temperature between uses. In fact, it works just the same even if it's covered in mud, gets forgotten about and lives in the car between uses.
